I installed the netbook remix build tonight and have been patching it to fix the big evolution icons, the small launcher icons. i think i've even fixed the keychain issue.

but...

firefox has lost its memory! my back button never lights up, and when i view history... nothing!

anyone got an idea what's going on? maybe a permissions issue where FF stores the history file?

If it's a permissions problem then drop to a terminal and type:

$ sudo chown <your user>:<your user> ./ -R

(I know I'm stating the obvious and grandmothers and eggs come to mind but change <your user> for your user name)

e.g

$ sudo chown mavis:mavis ./ -R



Test your firefox and if the buttons/history still fail then it is more than a permissions problem but I can only delve into it tonight.

Note for anyone else who gets this - when you run the chown command, you might see this error:



Just ignore it - the command has worked on every other file and folder just fine.
