I know this thread is aimed at more professional levels of PR, but I did want to point out that grassroot efforts make considerable impacts. I just replied to a netbook specific inquiry on reddit, which has millions of viewers a day.

It's not eeebuntu 4 beta 4. It's officially called EB4 Beta 1, also known as Aurora OS.
Adam over at array.org is the one who originally put out a netbook specific kernel for eeepc's. He is now working with Jolicloud, I believe. We do have our own team of kernel development now.
Another reason for the name change is because of the *buntu trademark.
