I have just removed Xandros from my EeePC 4G and have replaced it with Eeebuntu3 base but have run into two problems:

I have tried to set up my Lexmark C540 laser printer and have installed the appropriate software which I downloaded from the Lexmark web site but cannot get it to work. The printer software, according to Lexmark, will run correctly with all versions of Ubuntu from version 7.04 to 9.10 but when I try and print a test page from the EeePC nothing happens. I get a brief message saying: "This document does not confo...." but the message is too long for the "Printer Properties" window and I don't know what it is saying.

I have a very old laptop that is running Ubuntu 9.10 and also a fairly new desktop machine which, as part of its dual booting, runs Ubuntu 9.10 as well. These two machines have the same Lexmark software as the EeePC and both will drive the laser printer. All three machines have the same settings in "Printer Properties", so how can I find out what is stopping the EeePC from printing?

I thought that I might have to download some extra software but when I started Update Manager I got the following message:

"Could not download all repository indices..."
and
"GPG error: http://repos.eeebuntu.org Eb3 release. The following signatures couldn't be verified because the public key is not available: NO_PUBKEY 81D820A........Failed to fetch http://www.statux.org/ubuntu/dists/jaun ... 6/packages
Some index files failed to download."
Can anyone suggest what I can do about these two problems, please?

I now need to get the network printer running with the EeePC
