Aurora version: NBR 3.0.1
Hello:

I just got my EEE PC 1201n and installed Eeebuntu 3 on the extra partition, along side Windows 7. So far I'm very happy with the device. I have a 1000HE but find the screen just too small. I really like the 12" screen on this, and it's not much bigger than the 10 incher.

The install was uneventful, however X was very very slow until I updated to the latest Nvidia drivers, which went ok. I'll post on what I did later.

But the biggest issue is that both the Ethernet and wifi are not working. I'm using a USB-Ethernet adapter for now, I'm wondering where I start to get at least wifi working on this thing.

Anyone with some pointers on what to do to try these- thanks in advance.

Here is the output of lspci -v:

Wow, EeePC is being branded as 12 inch screens now ??
Look at the nVidia stuff. And that's an odd ethernet controller, too.

The problem with you will be, does the newest linux kernel support this hardware?

And with a dual core Atom 330 it should outperform most other netbook!

So the .28 kernel works, I'm thinking of trying .30 or .31 and seeing what happens.

I wrote up what I did to get the new ION drivers working:
