I have an EeePC 900 and the latest Eeebuntu. Very often when I try to come out of suspend state, things appear to work for a few seconds, and then the screen goes blank (not necesssarily black) and the computer locks up. Forced power-off is required to recover.

Last person who reported something similar was having X crash when they came out of suspend. Can you check the logs after you reboot for any indication of what's causing the lock?

Edit /etc/default/eeepc-acpi.local , and replace BUS_MODE="STANDARD" with BUS_MODE="SHE" See if that fixes it.

I applied the modification and tried 5 consecutive suspend-repeat cycles with some application loading in between. I could no longer reproduce the problem. I'm very happy now and hopeful that this helped. Please send best regards to the Eeebuntu team, it has brought the computer to a completely new level of usefulness! I will report back if the problem still appears, as said it's not deterministic.

That second part definitely sounds like the SHE error, which you've already corrected...
The first error is an X error, however, and I never had problems with suspend resume without SHE. Is it possible that X is crashing as well? I don't have a solution for that, but it seems likely.
