Yes, we know that your Eee says that it's not running at 900MHz. When we change the bus speed using the clock generator or SHE interface, the kernel doesn't know that we made the change so it will always display the original speed.
If you would like to prove that your Eee is in-fact running at a faster speed, do this:
Purge Eee PC ACPI Utilities Reboot Install geekbench and powertop Run geekbench Save the geekbench output Run powertop Save the powertop output
Install Eee PC ACPI Utilities Reboot Run geekbench Save the output Select different power modes Run geekbench in each power mode Run powertop in each power mode Compare the output
Just because it is stated that it is not at the speed you expect it to be, that doesn't mean it isn't.
If your geekbench outputs all look the same, search the forum in-case the bus control issue has been resolved on your model.
If the above resolves your issue, please post. Indicate that you have performed the appropriate steps above and an Eeebuntu team member will assist you when possible.
NOTE: If you read this, and don't follow the steps before posting we will probably not reply. This is only to minimize the level of effort required to support our users.
