Please Note!
This guide is no longer current for Eeebuntu 2.0 (Intrepid Eeebex 8.10). Specifically the kernel is installed for you by default. We are working on a new guide for installation of Eeebuntu 2.0.
Thats right. We now have an idiots guide to installing eeebuntu!!
This guide will literally hold your hand through the entire install.
Want to install eeebuntu but don't have the guts? This guide has screenshots of the entire process.

Hi I am having trouble with the creation of this Installation USB, for my asus eee 901 linux. I have placed both the iso and the script isotostick.sh within my home directory.
The commands that I have entered were:
sudo ./isotostick.sh ./eeebuntu_nbr_1.0.iso /dev/sdc1
Which resulted in sudo: ./isotostick.sh: command not found
I have also tried this command:
sudo sh ./isotostick.sh ./eeebuntu_nbr_1.0.iso /dev/sdc1
Which resulted in: Not verifying image...(no checkisomd5 in Ubuntu so skipping)!
You need to have syslinux installed to run this script
So I figured that I would install syslinux: sudo apt-get install syslinux
Which resulted in:
Setting up syslinux (2:3.53-1ubuntu2) ...
trev@PC:~$ sudo ./isotostick.sh ./eeebuntu_nbr_1.0.iso /dev/sdc1
sudo: ./isotostick.sh: command not found
Trying again:
trev@PC:~$ sudo sh ./isotostick.sh ./eeebuntu_nbr_1.0.iso /dev/sdc1
Not verifying image...(no checkisomd5 in Ubuntu so skipping)!
trap: 197: SIGINT: bad trap
Any suggestions as to where I have stuffed up would be greatly appreciated!

Hi Guitaraholic,
I had formatted my usb to ext2 as per the instructions.
I even tried using a different usb key and had the same results. I don't know if this is relevant, but I had to unmount the drive before I could partition it? I had also changed the flags to boot.
I have had some positive results after reading this post: http://www.eeebuntu.org/forum/viewtopic ... 3856c79868
So after using: sudo bash ./isotostick.sh ./eeebuntu_nbr_1.0.iso /dev/sdc1 I now have a live USB.
Thanks for your help, hopefully I will not have any further issues.
I had previously formatted my usb to ext2, I tried formatting as fat32 and although I got a huge amount of errors during the installation phase. i.e.
cp: failed to preserve ownership for `/media/usbdev.kv7035/README.diskdefines': Operation not permitted
cp: failed to preserve ownership for `/media/usbdev.kv7035/md5sum.txt': Operation not permitted
cp: failed to preserve ownership for `/media/usbdev.kv7035/.disk/casper-uuid-generic': Operation not permitted................etc
Use of this usb key performed it's installation flawlessly? Go figure!
Anyway, I just thought that I would let you know that I now have eeebuntu installed. Thanks for your help!

USB stick set up as live image!
The cat-problem can be fixed while create the folder syslinux and copy the data to this folder. But this: extlinux: Not a directory: /media/usbdev.4pCScm/syslinux
i can`t fix and the stick doesn`t work in my 1000h. It says: Missing operation system.
