Does anybody know how to actually play WoW on a EeePC 1000? I put Eeebuntu on it (obviously). I've got it installed on an external hard drive. Changed the resolution to 800x480 and winecfg is set to fullscreen too.
When I try to play... it opens fine, the sound is fine but none of the graphics work. All I see is the cursor. With defaults on Xandros none of the text showed. Please help.

Being myself a hard coder of ascent (wow server development) i'll tell you to better not play wow on the eeepc, you will loose all the joy and rendering of this amazing mmo, however it works under windows, never tested it on ubuntu so far, but even on windows its a little bit(?) crappy, surely doesn't worth it my friend.

Who says we would actually pvp WoW on the eee's? I was using a really suboptimal machine to run WoW, a GeForce4 MX420 graphics card. I wouldn't dare trying to raid with it... but it sure was fast enough to check the auction house, fly characters to other locations, do most of your profession cooldowns, etc. Not totally useless!

When I tried running WoW on my 900a (eeebuntu), the opening frost wyrm screen (WOTLK) was pretty choppy and all the text was missing. Bummer...

Currently I've really got no linux boxes capable of running wow without serious graphics deficiencies anymore after my gf4mx420 died... *sigh*
