I have installed many distros on my 2G Surf from LIVE USB to SDHC without issues. For some reason I am having some problems installing BASE from my LIVE USB to 8GB SDHC. I have a 2g surf and I tried switching the USB ports for the Live USB. I tried different SDHC's. I keep getting a popup stating an i/o error copying from CD to disk. This is the first time I encountered this.

I consider myself savvy with this type of installation. In fact I was able to install Ubuntu 8.10 from live USB to SDHC with no problem, same for Hardy and same for EEEBUNTU NBR.

I will keep playing around with this and may even try installing the iso on another USB flash drive. Sometimes its just as simple as that. I noticed that the BASE is using squashfs and I am trying to install to SDHC using ext2. Will that be another reason for the error?

This is an edit to my original post above the dotted line. The problem was indeed a bad iso...well bad iso copy. I copied the iso to a different USB flash drive and it installed flawlessly to my SDHC. EEEBUNTU once again has not let me down. Now it is time to see how well BASE is.
