I have installed many distros on my 2G Surf from LIVE USB to SDHC without issues. For some reason I am having some problems installing BASE from my LIVE USB to 8GB SDHC. I have a 2g surf and I tried switching the USB ports for the Live USB. I tried different SDHC's. I keep getting a popup stating an i/o error copying from CD to disk. This is the first time I encountered this.
I consider myself savvy with this type of installation. In fact I was able to install Ubuntu 8.10 from live USB to SDHC with no problem, same for Hardy and same for EEEBUNTU NBR.
I will keep playing around with this and may even try installing the iso on another USB flash drive. Sometimes its just as simple as that. I noticed that the BASE is using squashfs and I am trying to install to SDHC using ext2. Will that be another reason for the error? ---------------------------------------------
This is an edit to my original post above the dotted line. The problem was indeed a bad iso...well bad iso copy. I copied the iso to a different USB flash drive and it installed flawlessly to my SDHC. EEEBUNTU once again has not let me down. Now it is time to see how well BASE is.
