I have checked my EB4b1 setup in Skype. I had the "Allow Skype to automatically adjust my mixer levels" option ticked, so I tried removing it and Skype output still cuts out after a few seconds.

By the way, I found something that maybe interesting :

On the same kind of trying, I had Banshee playing some music, until I tried to launch a Youtube video on Mozilla. Then, no sound from the video. I tried to get my music back, no sound aswell.

I take a screengrab of the Multimedia selectors. It shows in the Alsa list that there isn't the audio chipset listed for the output. Just the mention "Default". Note that there is sound playing when you click on the "test" button... but no more anywhere else...



May there is some config files to alter to show the same command line as the input field in the same window? (alsasrc device="hw(0,0)")

I haven't found the Multimedia selector. Under Applications>Sound & Video I have PulseAudio Volume Control.

Oh, I think you'll have to edit the System menu and tick the only entry that wasn't enabled, which is the "Multimedia Selectors"

I've just tried editing the menus, but can find no entry for Multimedia slector, which I might enable.
