I currently have eeeubuntu beta 4 installed onto my 1005peb, and I seem to have problems with the keyboard and touchpad. Specifically the function keys dont work correctly, and the touchpad has lost multitouch capability. I'm still new to LINUX and id like some help on the matter please.

touchpads in linux dont have multitouch, the most you can do is two finger scroll.

to get the hotkeys to work, open up synaptic and install jupiter-support-eee,

So wait, even if the pad was multitouch capable in windows, theres no way i can get it to work properly in linux?
If thats the case ill take two finger scroll, the pad on the 1005peb does not have a clearly defined edge, so i end up scrolling when not necessary or not finding the scroll edge and have to look down at my fingers constantly

The only thing I use the "gestures" on the touchpad is for two finger scroll, two finger tap, and three finger tap. Everything else can go to hell.

If you wouldn't mind providing a slightly deeper definition to your problem than "my function keys are still crap" we may be able to assist.
