Hello,

I keep getting the same warning each reboot:

"Can't access ACPI events in /var/run/acpid.socket! Make sure the ACPI subsystem is working and the acpid daemon is running"

On the other hand acpi is running:
Code:
1 S root        21     2  0  80   0 -     0 ?      11:40 ?        00:00:00 [kacpid]
1 S root        22     2  0  80   0 -     0 ?      11:40 ?        00:00:00 [kacpi_notify]
1 S root        23     2  0  80   0 -     0 ?      11:40 ?        00:00:00 [kacpi_hotplug]
1 S root      1430     1  0 100   0 -   425 ?      11:40 ?        00:00:00 /usr/sbin/acpid
4 S 102       1627  1555  0 100   0 -   837 ?      11:40 ?        00:00:00 hald-addon-acpi: listening on acpid socket /var/run/acpid.socket

I have both acpi and acpid packages installed. I get information about battery and battery life - so it's not a real problem, still kinda annoying...

Oh right, that one is somewhat a solve - what was causing the message is the battery monitor (not the Gnome one, but the ad-to-panel one).
