Hello Guys,
I'm using EEEbuntu 3.0 NBR on my 1000HE for like 4 months now. Just for 2 days my Desktop (the Launcher, dunno what it is called) became very very slow. Everything worked fine till that day. I rebooted already. Don't have any other ideas. Programs work fine. Video plays without any lags and when I am writing programs they get compiled as fast as always. It's only that NBR Program Launcher. Needs like 5 seconds to highlight an icon when I move my mouse over and another 5 seconds to get the icon a little bigger.
Thanks for help.

So after waiting some days and seeing 31 Views but no answer I tried a little around here. And got it solved. My xorg.conf was changed and so I reconfigured it with dpkg.
Just for Information for somebody who's got the same problem.

Thanks for pointing me in the right direction. I edited xorg.conf using
Code:
sudo nano /etc/X11/xorg.conf
and removed comments for 915GMA, 915GM using 9.04, and 1024x600. Now the GUI i snappy like never before. This only works if you have 915GM according to lspi.

Hi
I was using eeebuntu v2 NBR for some months now and it was fine until an upgrade which refused to then allow me to login again. So I downloaded (on another PC) eeebuntu v3 NBR and installed it and it is "working" okay - ie I am connected via my WLAN and surfing okay.
Reading the above I am lost as to what to do re the same problem I have - which is that the mouse is slow and choppy on the main UI (but fine when Open Office and Firefox). What do I change exactly? My Eee PC is simply labeled "900". I am a relative Ubuntu newbie so please excuse my question.

no reply from anyone so i took a guess that "sudo gedit /etc/X11/xorg.conf" might work, and it seems to have improved mouse sluggishness on the main view,
