Now I've found a solution for eee901 gfx problem (might work on others).

1. sudo gedit /etc/apt/sources.list
   
2. Add these lines:
   deb http://ppa.launchpad.net/siretart/ppa/ubuntu jaunty main
   deb-src http://ppa.launchpad.net/siretart/ppa/ubuntu jaunty main
   Save the file.
   
3. sudo apt-key adv --recv-keys --keyserver keyserver.ubuntu.com CE90D8983E731F79
   
4. sudo apt-get update
5. sudo apt-get install xserver-xorg-video-intel-2.4

I tried this on me 1000h and it's already using it
Thanks though. I thought it'd improve the performance but sadly not.

Wonder how the intel video drivers are coming along for netbooks like ours.

This fixes the slow graphics on my 900. Be warned though if you leave the lines in the sources.list you will get unwanted updates that will break everything, so comment them out afterwards.
