While updating / upgrading eb3 I obtain this error:
Code:
Err http://www.statux.org jaunty/main eeepc-acpi-utilities 1.0.46 404 Not Found Failed to fetch http://www.statux.org/ubuntu/pool/main/e/eeepc-acpi-utilities/eeepc-acpi-utilities_1.0.46_i386.deb 404 Not Found E: Unable to fetch some archives, maybe run apt-get update or try with --fix-missing?
Why there's no repository? Where is the new one?
Please somebody help!
Searching for "eeepc-acpi-utilities" on the forum doesn't work, it says that "eeepc-acpi-utilities" is a common word (I opened another topic for this issue)

well thats because it was made exclusively for eb4, it was not developed for eb3, eb3 development ceased a long time ago.

eb4 has proven to be quite stable, many people have been running it flawlessly for a while now, you should give it a try, i used to love eb3 when i had it installed, ran beautifully, now i have eb4 and i dont plan on changing.

what kernel were you using? the trunk kernel that was installed is extremely buggy and could cause all those problems that you were experiencing, you could install another kernel and uninstall the trunk kernel and see which problems persist.

stable, maybe, once you get it actually working, but it takes forever to get it installed and running, and then once you apply all the updates to it, it pretty much dies, anyway.
Upgrading is --not-- the answer for people who have a functioning system or a nearly functioning system.
