so ive looked around for a solution for this but have been unable to find one. i accidentally closed my eeepc tray, and its not returning. ive tried running it by clicking the program shortcut under Applcations > System Tools, and get no response. ive also tried running it through the terminal. still no response. i really like the tray, and am missing it already. any help getting it back would be great. thanks!

[so i dug around and someone mentioned something about adding a notification area to the dock. it worked out perfectly, i feel like such a fool. oh well, you live you learn.]

this comes up when i try running it through the file browser

[/usr/bin/eeepc-tray.exe]
End-of-central-directory signature not found. Either this file is not
a zipfile, or it constitutes one disk of a multi-part archive. In the
latter case the central directory and zipfile comment will be found on
the last disk(s) of this archive.
note: /usr/bin/eeepc-tray.exe may be a plain executable, not an archive
zipinfo: cannot find zipfile directory in one of /usr/bin/eeepc-tray.exe or
/usr/bin/eeepc-tray.exe.zip, and cannot find /usr/bin/eeepc-tray.exe.ZIP, period.

[edit: so i guess it runs this in the achieve manager which is why this message comes up, how do i get it to run normally?]

here's what happened when i tried to reinstall the tray:

$ sudo apt-get install --reinstall eeepc-tray
Reading package lists... Done
Building dependency tree
Reading state information... Done
Reinstallation of eeepc-tray is not possible, it cannot be downloaded.
The following packages were automatically installed and are no longer required:
libclucene0ldbl libxine1-x librdf0 kdebase-runtime-data-common
libxine1-misc-plugins libxcb-xv0 kde-icons-oxygen libxine1-bin libexiv2-5
librasqal1 redland-utils libxcb-shape0 libstreamanalyzer0 libkonq5-templates
libstreams0 exiv2 libxcb-shm0 kdebase-runtime-data libxine1-console libxine1
