This is due to your Eee PC ACPI Utilities not fully upgrading.

To ensure you have the latest utilities and tray fully upgraded:


MAKE SURE YOU ALLOW IT TO OVERWRITE EEEPC-ACPI

Delete your old /etc/default/eeepc-acpi.local file.

Add only your custom settings a new /etc/default/eeepc-acpi.local:

At this point if it still does not work, search the forum in-case it has been resolved on your model.
