FSB scaleing and Bluetooth with Eee PC Tray
Hi, after all I still have a problem with CPU settings and Bluetooth. I followed instructions posted here in this post and on the wiki for configuering Eee PC Tray (statux) to fix the problems but some issues i can't get working. BTW I've to say that I'm kind of new in linux.
Problems still are: - When I move the mouse over the systray icon it doesen't show Temp., Fan-Speed etc. like in the screen shot from the wiki from eeebuntu. cat /proc/eee/fsb still doesn't work, the folder does not exist. - After a reboot it always starts in ondemand mode and the switch options with the left mouse button on the icon doesn't work, even though I uncommended the lines in the eeepc-acpi.local: MODE_AC="performance" MODE_BAT="powersave" I have to plug my powerplug first in or out before it reacts. After that the switch buttons work. I check the power mode with the CPU Frequency Monitor. - Bluetooth doesen't work, but what I heard/read it is a kernel bug?
So what I did: I followed the instructions at statuxs known issues which are in sum all the stuff I found so far in the net at different places.
My kernel as uname tells me is 2.6.28-12-netbook-eeepc and I've Eeebuntu Base 3.0 installd. My Hardware is a Eee PC 1000H

I think the screenshot was taken with Eeebuntu 2.0, there is a bug in Jaunty that causes the application to crash when the tooltip is updated either by a thread or timer so it is disabled for now.

The above should resolve this for you.

It was, I'm not sure if it is still a bug though. On the statux wiki in the diagnostics section there is information on debugging bluetooth, run that and email the output to me and I'll be able to tell you for sure.

Thanks for helping
Hope this info helps. Oh, I see you are on 2.6.28, yes it's impacted by the bluetooth bug.

Hi, thanks for the quick reply. Is there another kernel-image i could install to get BT working?
Concerning the installation of the dkms package, I had this allready done. The only thing I made different is, that I created a blacklist in /etc/modprobe.d/ ,too. I wrote in the blacklist the module asus_eee. There also was a blacklist.conf in which I didn't wrote the module. I read this at the statux wiki. Maybe this is the problem. But the module asus_eee is loaded when I check with lsmod.
Edit: I also did apt-get install --reinstall acpi asus_eee_dkms acpid acpi_support eeepc_acpi_utillities
