eeePC model: 900A
Aurora version: NBR 3.0.1
The eeePC is having real problems being useable - Connection is just too slow.
A comparison; Two laptops side by side, both working to the same router, both running Jaunty (Ubuntu on the Inspiron 1525 and eeebuntu NBR 3 on the eeePC 900A0.) At http://www.mybroadbandspeed.co.uk SIMULTANEOUS tests give 4Meg for the Inspiron and 300K for the eeePC (same WEP, same router).
I did use the ath5k driver for the 900A but changed and now have ndiswrapper; xxxxxxlaptop:~$ ndiswrapper -l net5211 : driver installed device (168C:001C) present (alternate driver: ath5k)
I presume something has gone wrong. Any suggestions ? What output would you like to see ?
======================================== Follow on; Went to Network Manager (right click)>Edit Connections. Changed Mode from "Infrastructure" to "Ad-Hoc".
Tested broadband speed and I now have 3 meg. Pages load very fast. Don't know how or why, but the situation is very much improved.

eeePC model: 1005HA
Aurora version: NBR 3.0.1
I installed Eeebuntu NBR 3.0.1 on my 1005HA. I have both wired and wireless lan working but they are both slower than when running Windows XP. I did a speed test with both wire and wireless. I then did a shutdown and booted the 1005HA under XP and the same test was 3 times faster with both wired and wireless. The download speed test went from 599 kb to 15989 kb. Any ideas of what I can tweak to make eeebuntu run faster?

I have a 900HA that I dropped and so had to replace the LCD panel. All fixed up and then I noticed the wireless was much slower than before. As a software engineer and pretty good at hardware I came to the conclusion that the antenna where probably picking up even more interference from the panel than before. So folded aluminium foil 3 times into a width that is about 1/3 the width of the panel (top to bottom) and cut it to the right width. I saw that ASUS used alot of foil for shielding and so I went with the same. So I taped it to the top back of the LCD and made sure any electrical that it might touch was covered with electrical tape (like where the wires are soldered to the antenna for wireless, and put elec. tape on the top, middle back of the LCD to insulate from the board for the camera). It works great now - as fast as my desktop on wireless. You can find instructions on how to take apart the laptop various places (e.g. people selling touch screen panels that you can put into it.).

I have to update you .. I thought applying the foil worked but it did not.
I ended up moving the antenna for the wireless from the lid to down in front of the keyboard -- and so away from the LCD panel. This definitely solved the problem with my slow WIFI. Keep in mind that I had replaced the LCD panel -- probably with one that produced much more interference than the origional OEM LCD panel. And so moving the antenna was the solution in my case. The OEM panel may be producing interference too and slowing down the WIFI .. I don't know but it is something to look into.
