Probably an incredibly "newbie" sort of question I realise, but here's my situation:

I've tried to use skype, but no one I'm trying to call can here me. I've read various versions of a fix, but practically all involve deleting all pulse audio packages (if I understand correctly).

I'm fine with trying this, but I really like Rhythmbox, and I don't want to do something to screw up its function. Does anyone know whether Rhythmbox uses any of the pulse audio packages (now that I think of it, I should probably post this on a Rhythmbox forum...)

Any help is appreciated.
