Hope I was not the moron. Anyway, this is for me the chance to learn a new englllllish word and understand its root whose I've ignore the meaning since 77 when Jojo Lydon left it in my ears. Nevvveeeer spppent the time to search since there! If I don't get any skills in Linux here, at least I improve my english.

heh. No, just peeved when somebody constantly rants on about how much he hates something and tries to bring others down with him. Enough said about this, though.

Negativity is as contagious as the bubonic plague and flies faster than light whilst positivity trundles along like a stoned snail minding its own business. Each to their own, everyone is entitled to a good whinge and moan every now and again most of which is out of sheer frustration.

test result for eee-control: this is not the ideal tool: -can't remember previous wifi status -doesn't make cpu-freq-changes-monitor work:displays 630Mhz when eee-control says full perf, which is 900 MHz on a 701-4G(+can't select frequency) -can't disable dangerous toggle on/off menu item, e.g for me card-reader (hosting /home content, so not removable by decision). -if all the above "-" were not, there would remain this last: eee-control doesn't auto lauuunch on boot
+allows fan auto-speed control = power saving +although, I must admit eee-control is a very pretty and convenient job which does what it is intended to do and what it says it does.
Maybe it is the model, but eee-control works wonderfully on my 1000. CPU performance settings work well (though the processor only throttles up to what I have set as max when it is needed apparently, nice for power saving.). All hotbuttons work and are customizable. It will launch when I log in, but I had to tel it to do so. This is done through the control panel, sessions, with the command eee-control-tray. That will auto-launch eee-control.

I've just installed eeebuntu on my new s101 and I don't see s101 moldel listed under Eeebuntu Config options. How can I get it listed there or can I use some other model?

At the moment eee-control is the same across all models. The ones listed are the models that eee-control is known to work on. It wouldn't do any harm to install eee-control from another version and give it a try. Report your results and I can add your model to the eee-control supportable list. If it doesn't work you can always remove eee-control via synaptic.
