I saw the list of updates in eeebuntu on my 900A.

I do not believe I have the time or brains to understand what they are even if
I Google every last one to see what they are.

The total for the updates is around 300MB.

In general I ask, should I do the updates?

In general, yes. Most of them are security fixes, some of them are usability fixes.

Unless you know specifically of a problem with an update, you should apply it. This is as true in Eeebuntu as it is in Ubuntu, Windows, or OS X.

I'm running the updated kernel on the 1000ha and worried if I allow all updates it'll affect my wireless capability.

Are there specifically certain updates we should not run?

Do not switch to the Karmic kernel, as it is currently incompatible with most eee wireless. The problem is being worked on, and in the meantime, other updates disable the kernel update. If you run the other updates, that should also remove any troublesome updates like the Karmic kernel (unfortunately I don't have the list as to exactly which updates need to be installed to make this happen, but I do know they were recent and something like 5 total items).
