I have just installed eeebuntu on my 500A. It works perfectly and is now satisfyingly similar to my desktop ubuntu system. I cant however find a touchpad settings tool and would like to disable its tap capability ie I prefer to only use the 2 buttons as I am forever accidentally tapping. Am I not finding the tool or is it just not there? if it isnt there is there some other way of configuring ?

Check out this blog for some information about the touchpad: <http://blog.sidboswell.com/2009/03/07/disable-trackpad-while-typeing-on-eeepc-901-eeebuntu-nbr-20/#more-375>.

Hope that helps.

I use eee-control, and have the touchpad disable toggle assigned to a hotbutton. When I plug my mouse in I also hit that button, and it shuts the touchpad off. It is my favorite eee-control function!

I just checked this site and it seems those steps will just turn the touchpad off while typing, not disable the tap clicking. Am I right, or did I just miss something. If I am right, is there another known way to disable the tap clicking? It's driving me nuts.
