I am running EEEbuntu Netbook Remix. I have my webcam and mic both working. I had to download skype from the website. My mic works ok with Skype but it won't pick up my webcam? My webcam is enabled as it works fine on Cheese and other things, but not Skype. Anyone know what I can do to enable it? No idea..
In Skype's "options" window, select the "video devices" tab and confirm that video is enabled and that the right device is selected (on my 901 it's'/dev/video0') .
There is a "test videor" button on that form too. Mine worked out of the box without a hitch. Another good example of how well eeebuntu is set up...

eeePC model: 900A
Aurora version: NBR 3.0.1
I'm using NBR 2.0 on 900a. My skype microphone use is so bad it is unintelligible. I've tried everything. I installed from the synaptic packages. You say you installed from a direct skype download. Would that be better than what I got via synaptic?
I NEED the skype for travel. I'll be downgrading back to Xandros if necessary to get my communication.
