 Post subject: grub error 17

I made a USB install stick using Unetbootin from windows..

but when I try to boot from it on my eee PC 901 9 ( windows xp ver ) I get this:

GRUB Loading stage1.5

GRUB Loading, please wait...
Error 17


how do I fix it ?

btw, I tried to install Arch linux before trying this and i got the same error, so.. idk exactly what is going on... =__=
