anyone dual booting eb4 and xp here?

i realize eb4 better in everything (yes everything out of the box) except for the battery life and video player capability
1. although Jupiter was turn on to power saving mode max it could lasted was about 3 hours while windows xp she software could drag to 4 hours under same condition
2. eb4 video player vlc unable to play 720p video smoothly however same the vlc had no problem on xp (i wonder if the codec fault here)

i never wanted to go back to windows xp anymore, but sometimes dual boot will be the better solution
just my impression towards EB4, anyone had the same situation like me?

Don't trust gnome power manager, it can't calculate battery life accurately.

also, what system are you using, judging by the battery life you reported its a celeron model, a 70x or a 900, if so you should know that the power saver option doesnt change the cpu speed, only changing it between maximum performance and high performance changes the cpu speed, what i usually do is i change it to high performance to drop my cpu speed to 630MHz, and then i change to power saver for the added batter saving things that option brings, i get a good 5-6 hours out of my regular 5200MAh battery that way.

windows drivers will almost always be better than linux drivers.

i calculate the time using digital stopwatch
both OS been tested 3 times with same program/movie being run
also tested with standby mode with max brightness

somehow xp gives more juice

Im using EEEpc 1002ha with wifi on and movies running on the background it lasted 4 hours under XP (if turning off wifi, bluetooth and webcam the life increase to 5hours max)

only drivers support was great, however EB4 really open my eyes how fast this machine can boot, able to work out of the box, and nice interface
