Hello, I am looking in to extending my battery life as much as possible (will be running the laptop off solar power while away from mains electricity) and I hear that using 'PAUSE_SERVICES=""' could help. But what services exactly will it be pausing with the default configuration (when activated), i.e. what effect will it have on functionability?
Also does anyone have any other suggestions for services could I pause using this?

Thanks Mark
If you are still using Eeebuntu 3, this option is described in /etc/default/eeepc-acpi. It only stops and starts services that you assign. There is a list of recommended defaults in the config file.

Thanks Fewt,
I was hoping to find out what those services listed there already actually do, but I guess I should stop being lazy and do a couple of searches to find out!
