i'm new to this board.. i've recently bought a 1005ha and installed eebuntu.
i have a question concerning power management:
is there a way to turn off the hd and run the eeepc and eeebuntu on a sd flashcard to save battery? (i was thinking about a 15 gig card - should be able to contain the most important files and the os)

cheers! B.
I am currently runnung Eeebuntu Base on HDD & Xubuntu 9.04 on an SDHC card - No probs. Just put the SD card in the SD slot, and boot from your pen drive (install drive). When it reaches the "Starting Up the Partitioner" point, Choose to install to the SD card (from the drop-down menu). Install it and reboot. When booting up, press "ESC" to choose where you want to boot from - HDD or SD card. I don't know if using the SD card will stop HDD rotation. I am not that experienced with the Eee PC.
